Can the employer of deployed team personnel receive reimbursement?
No. There is no process in place at the federal level to reimburse employers of team personnel for expenses (such as backfilling their position or hiring a temp) incurred during the person’s DMAT deployment. If team personnel are authorized for a federal deployment, they will be paid federal salary (based on their position), travel reimbursement and per diem during the deployment.
